Spurti is a neuroscientist and educator with formal training in various scientific disciplines—including developmental neurobiology, sleep science, language and cognitive neuroscience, field and wildlife biology, and science communication.

 

Throughout her academic career and personal life, Spurti has been interested in understanding how the brain, behavior, and overall health of individuals and communities are affected by the environment and lifestyle. Her curiosity has led her to work in and learn from various laboratories across the globe, science outreach initiatives, and even the rainforests of Costa Rica.
